UAE-based Indian filmmaker and producer Soniya Kirpalani pitched her documentary, “We, The People”, to a panel of commissioning editor judges at MIPDoc. Her documentary, about 17 Indians set to receive death sentence for murdering a Pakistani victim, went on to win the competition, as well as many more worldwide.
